I received a present yesterday which was very much appreciated: the brilliant exhibition catalogue of «The Golden Age of Haute Couture» that will soon take place in Oviedo, in the Banco Herrero Exhibition Hall. It is a set of textiles, dresses and accesories of Antoni de Montpalau’s collection (Sabadell, Barcelona). According to the cover letter, his aim is to show that «Haute Couture is more than simply sewing a dress: it reflects a way of understanding life… The glamour that characterized one chapter of our recent history and was represented by great couturiers could be relived» (José Oliu, Chairman of Banco de Sabadell).
