From what I can see in the work of my collegues and in my own designs is that the hat dimensions will be reduced. Their general size and the brim will be smaller as time goes by. Could the financial crisis affect the availability of materials as in the 40s? It could but the materials are rich and luxurious with the profusion of veils.
Hats and headdresses will fit the make-up trends, without being flashy.
Colour Look:
Mauve, fuchsia and purple colours of the eyeshadow fit perfectly with a white and beige light headdress with dyed feathers paper flowers or organdy.
Smoked Look:
Grey and black eyeshadow with heavy eyeliner worn with silver headdresses and funny small hats, like top hats.
Natural Look:
For brown eyeshadow and pink lips I recommend adding volume to the headress with dusted feathers.
