Queridos sombreristas:

Aunque no lo creais, yo no sólo llevo sombrero, también zapatos y bolso. De hecho, hace un mes escaso que elegí mi must para la temporada y me compré unos zuecos Ugg . Ingenuamente, creí invertir en unos zapatos para todo el verano, al menos, ya que la marca me infundía confianza. Pues en la fotos veis el resultado tras estas semanas de uso.

Si están así en mayo, no quiero ni imaginar cómo estarán en septiembre.

Y creyendo que una zapatería de confianza respaldaría la compra, voy a comentarles que la suela ya empieza a despegarse y tengo que oir que la culpa es mía por haberles utilizado…

No me extraña la crisis que sufrimos cuando la calidad y el precio es algo que ya no tiene ninguna relación. Por lo menos, cuando compras en los chinos, sabes a qué atenerte.

Otra experiencia desagradable:

Me regalan mis hijos el 1 de mayo con toda su ilusión un bolso Lupo…¿podeis creer que ayer (14/5/2011) lo enviaron a fábrica porque se está depegando el cuero, saliendose un embellecedor, y desquebrajándose la bandolera? Y todavía tenía que oír esta explicación de la dependienta: «Es que el cuero bueno es así».

Por todo esto, ¿dónde queda nuestra lucha (en mi caso como artesana del sombrero) del Made in Spain?

Dear hat fans,
Although you won’t believe me, I don’t only wear hats but also shoes and handbags. In fact, one month ago I chose my “must” for this season and bought a pair of Ugg clogs. Naively I thought I had invested my money in a pair of shoes at least for the whole summer since I felt I could trust in this brand. You can see in the photo how they are after these weeks of using them. If they are like this in May, I don’t want to imagine how they will be in September. Believing that this shoe shop was a trusted place which would back my buy, I went there to say that the sole was starting to come unstuck and I had to listen that the fault was my own because I used them!

I can understand the crisis we suffer when quality and price is something that have no relation. At least when you buy in a Pound shop, one knows what to expect.

Another unpleasant experience: my children gave me a Lupo bag for Mother’s Day (1st May). Could you believe that yesterday (15th May) it was sent to the factory because leather and trim are coming unstuck and handle is breaking down? Besides I had to listen to the saleswoman explanation “It’s normal with good leather”. With all this… where is our fight (in my case as a hat milliner) for made in Spain products?
